Boo Basket

With Halloween fast approaching and one of my favourite social media trends in the boo basket, although I haven't received one yet, there is always time, maybe this year. So here are some of my ideas if you are thinking of making one, and what you could include; Obviously, a cute basket of your choosing, Comfy slippers, Cute blanket, Ghost pillow or something else spooky, A scented candle, something with pumpkins, Pumpkin sugar scrub, Halloween mug, Favourite Halloween snack, Fluffy socks, Seasonal PJs, Pumpkin spice body wash, face mask, and lotion, and a decor piece or stuffed animal to finish it off.

Winter

 The Southern Hemisphere is in the last month of winter, which means it will be the last time this year we are stuck in a winter slump. With spring right around the corner, it is the last chance to embrace the cold and the things it provides. Now, most people hate winter, but I, on the other hand, love it! Maybe because I have never had the experience of a white winter, and I have high hopes for one, which inevitably makes me excited for the cooler months. Especially Autumn, I love the colour palette with all the oranges and the plaid outfits!!

So I'm the opposite of everyone else. I never really had a winter slump; I have more of a summer slump. But here are my Secrets as to why I enjoy winter so much and how I never get into a winter slump;

Candles, I cannot stress this enough, especially candles that go with the season, for instance, pumpkin spice and creme brulee for Autumn, and hot cocoa or gingerbread for winter.

Hot Beverage, romanticise, have a nice hot beverage, whether that be a hot chocolate or tea, make it a moment.

Pajamas, Cute warm pajama sets always get me in the feels.

Movie Night, have a cozy movie night at least once a week to wrap yourself in the coziest blankets and to snuggle up with your favourite snacks.

Walk, a light afternoon or morning walk, to take what the season has given us, is the perfect way to learn to appreciate it.

Journal, whether it be inside by a window or outside, taking in the cold air.

Reading seasonal books is great for this. Laurie Gilmore has some perfect books for this, or even a Harry Potter book to get whimsical.

Food, eat winter dishes like a good old Sunday roast or stew to warm your insides.

Reset day, when things get heavy, reset and make an at-home spa with face mask, hair masks, and all of your favourite things.

Lamps or Fairy lights to set the cosy mood for the night.

Outfits, one thing about winter is that it has some cozy, cute outfits. Jump on Pinterest and find some inspiration.

Decorate, whether it is just your bedroom or the whole house, bring out the candles and cozy blankets, and make it feel like a cozy haven.

Fire, now, whether you have an indoor fireplace or a fire pit out the back, this is another way to be in nature and enjoy it, but also stay warm.

Remember, Winter is only a season, and it will come to pass, but make sure you enjoy it before it is gone, and you are sitting in the middle of summer, thinking I wish it were a bit cooler. Enjoy the things each season has to offer, cause each season brings its own things to be grateful for.
