Born and raised in a small town, where you practically know everyone or know of them, with big goals and ambitions I decided it was time to say goodbye to small town life and venture into the big city. it didn't come without rough patches I'll say that, in April 2022 I made the big move, it was chaos, not only moving hours away from everything I've ever known but also having to step completely out of my comfort zone, so the journey started.
Why move to the City? Let's just say if I had a choice I would've stayed in my small town, now having experienced city life, you either get lost in the chaos or out shine it, something I am slowly figuring out. But why am I here, as I said goals and ambitions, in the words of the late Martin Luther King Jr. I have a dream. Enough said,! We are all chasing something or figuring out what we want to chase, I mean it has taken me a few years but I eventually realised I wanted more from my dream.
In the last couple of months I have had more than enough time necessary be myself, I have discovered so many things about myself and I still have a lot more of that, moving away takes away a protective layer of your youth and lets you become the adult you will be, I feel this is why people who stay in their hometown don't mature as quickly as the people who move away, something I have noticed every time I have come home, I'm slowly getting less and less interested in hanging out with some of the people I used to due to immaturity. Its kinda sad right?
